The Church and Ministry Committee shall consist of the Moderator, Moderator-elect, and the three most immediate past Moderators available to serve as appointed by the Church Council. The Moderator shall serve as Chair of the Committee. A vacancy on the Church and Ministry Committee shall be filled by Church Council appointment of the next most immediate past moderator available to serve. The Church and Ministry Committee shall function as a line of communication between the minister(s) and the congregation for the purpose of achieving an effective ministry for the Church. The Church and Ministry Committee shall supervise and evaluate the activities and responsibilities of the minister(s), including but not limited to vacations and paid leaves, and shall make written recommendations to the Church Council as circumstances require.
